What is Performance Consulting/Coaching?

A Performance Coach provides coaching (including tools, instruction and strategies), assessment and information (consulting) of various performance techniques and mental skills to enhance your performance. Performance coaching includes developing mental techniques and skills using cutting edge theory and research from the fields of sport science and sport, exercise and performance psychology. A performance coach then teaches performers how to develop the mental resiliency tools for optimal performance using these evidence based techniques. Performance Coaching will teach you how the mind influences the body to improve mental toughness and resiliency. For most performers the outcome of working with a Performance Coach is improved motivation, enjoyment, increased goal achievement, greater satisfaction and optimized performances.

Performance Coaching services can be provided through one-on-one individual coaching sessions with athletes, coaches or parents; or through educational workshops with groups and teams. In your life, you may find yourself performing on the athletic field, in the gym or classroom, on stage or, when leading your team in athletic or business contexts. In each of these settings, you can benefit from learning how the mind influences your performance and what mental skills training can do to enhance your performance.
